Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients

But as soon as the surface of the oil becomes dry, you’ll notice the tofu begin to float above the surface. Keep stirring and flipping the tofu until it turns golden brown, about three to four minutes per side.
Step 6: Remove From the Heat
Remove the pan from the heat once your tofu is fully cooked.
Then, immediately transfer it to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Place the remaining tofu slices back in the pan and repeat steps 4 through 6.
Serve on top of rice, noodles, or just eat plain!
This recipe works great with both regular and silken tofu.

And just like regular fried tofu, you don’t need oil at all.
As long as you keep an eye on the temperature so it doesn’t burn, you shouldn’t run into any problems.
If you do notice it getting too hot, simply drop the temp down by turning off the oven fan until the temperature returns back to normal.
You also don’t need to soak air fried tofu first, either.
Just press it between two plates when you put it in the oven, and it will stay nice and firm.
Plus, since it isn’t submerged in water or oil, it won’t absorb moisture from its surroundings.
