How Do You Make Air Fryer Potato Fritters?

The first step is to prepare the potatoes.

Once you have mixed your dry ingredients, slowly pour in the liquid ingredient (eggs) until you have formed a smooth batter.

If you notice lumps forming, stop beating and try adding another egg instead.

Once you have added all the eggs, you may need to add some extra water to help bind the mixture.

After mixing your batter, transfer it to a container which has been lined with parchment paper.

I prefer not to coat my baking sheet in oil, but you can if you would like.

Place your prepared potatoes on top of your batter and press down firmly to ensure they stick to the bottom of the pan and aren’t floating around in the middle when they go in the oven later.

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place your fritter tray inside and close the lid.

Cook for 4 minutes to warm up your batter.

Your fritters should puff up slightly after 4 minutes of cooking time.

For the next 5 minutes, flip your fritters over with a spatula and cover them back up for 2 minutes.

This second round of heating will finish off your fritters and allow them to set further.

Finally, remove your fritters and place them on a cooling rack.

When they cool completely, you can store them in an airtight container for several days.

I got my hands on an Air Fryer Pro Plus, which is one of the most popular brands out there.

It has a temperature range from 175 – 425 degrees Fahrenheit (80 – 220 Celsius) and comes with seven recipes for different foods ranging from fish fillets to chicken wings.

I tried it out with this recipe for air-fried potatoes, and here’s how I made them.

  • First, peel and chop the potatoes. You want them cut into cubes so that they don’t get too mushy while cooking.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large bowl and mix well to coat all of the pieces of potatoes.
  • In another medium bowl, add 2 eggs, a pinch of salt, and a few drops of pepper sauce. Whisk until blended together.
