Today, most people know about golden berries because of their nutritional value and how easy they are to grow yourself.

There are even places where you can find different varieties of golden berries growing all over the world! However, if you want to try growing your own version, we recommend starting with these tips first.

  • Choose an appropriate location. Goldenberries need full sun and lots of water to thrive.
  • Make sure it has good drainage so roots don’t sit too deep or become clogged up with dirt.
  • Try planting two plants together so they can share nutrients.
  • If you live somewhere cold enough, consider putting a greenhouse over your garden space.
  • Keep the area free from weeds. Weeds will compete with your plants for sunlight, water, and nutrients.

I used golden berries from the frozen section at my local grocery store, which I found to be very convenient because it was all ready to go when I got home.

If you want to make sure that you can get these sweet little treats whenever you need them, then consider purchasing them online.

You can find them at places like Amazon or Walmart, where they come in individual servings with a resealable pouch inside so that you don’t end up wasting any of the precious fruit.

The frozen variety is also much cheaper than buying fresh ones, especially if you buy enough to last several months!

What Are Some Of Your Tips For Making This Recipe Even Better?

I like to add almonds or walnuts into the mix because they give golden berries an extra crunch.

I also love using coconut oil instead of butter if I can get my hands on it.

It adds a nice flavor to the dish without adding too much fat.

You could probably replace the almond milk with any kind of nut milk you prefer, but I think non-dairy milk gives golden berries more creaminess which makes them taste sweeter (and less tart).

You can try different types of nuts and seeds in place of the almonds – just keep in mind that they will need to soak overnight before cooking.

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of soaking the nuts and seeds yourself, you can buy soaked nuts and seeds at most grocery stores these days.

Just look for something labeled “almond meal” or “walnut meal.”

One tablespoon of honey should do the trick!

The directions say “roughly chop” the dates, so use whatever method works best for you.

If you’re new to chopping fruits and vegetables by hand, using a knife might seem intimidating, but it’s really pretty easy once you get used to it.

Just work slowly and carefully.

A food processor would definitely speed things up here, but I find it easier to grate the dates in small batches when I’m doing this step myself.

This golden berry recipe takes approximately 20 minutes to prepare.

The berries need to soak in water overnight before you can start cooking with them.

You don’t want the seeds from the green beans (or whatever vegetable you choose) to float to the top of the pan while you’re making this dish because they will burn quickly when exposed to heat.

It’s important to keep an eye on the stove so that you know when the berries are done cooking.

If you would like to add more vegetables into your meal, feel free to do so! Just remember to increase the amount of water needed to cover the new ingredients.

However, if you’d prefer to stick with just one type of vegetable, then simply go ahead and use what you’ve got.

  • Add all of the ingredients except the cooked beans or greens to a large pot filled with cold water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Drain off any excess liquid and discard.
  • In a skillet, combine 1/4 cup of olive oil with 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, stir in 2 teaspoons of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of onion powder. Heat until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients to the mixture and toss gently to coat evenly. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.

What Are Some Of Your Least Favorite Things About This Recipe?

I am sure that I don’t need to tell you what the worst thing about this recipe is – it’s the fact that it takes so long! You can only eat one or two at most before they start to get stale, which means that you will have to make another batch soon after eating these.

To make matters worse, the first time you try golden berries, you probably won’t know how good they really taste until much later.

That being said, a few other less appealing aspects include the fact that they are relatively expensive (about $20 per pound) compared to other dried fruit like raisins ($3/pound), and that they aren’t very portable because they take up a lot of space in your pantry.

How Would You Change This Recipe If You Were To Make It Again?

This recipe has a lot going for it.

It’s easy enough to prepare, especially with the help of an immersion blender or food processor.

And while it doesn’t taste like much at first bite, the golden berry flavor grows more intense as you chew.

The only thing I don’t particularly care for is how small the pieces are.

I’d definitely double up on the ingredients in order to get bigger bites of fruit.
