Note: Smoke it for about four hours at about 165 degrees Fahrenheit to make sure we don’t get any spoilage on it. It’s really important. We smoke it in red oak because if you don’t smoke in red oak, you will get some black around the edges of your meat.

Essential tips: Use the correct type of meat. Ribeye is one of the most popular types of meat for frying because it’s full of fat and connective tissue, two very important elements necessary for great fried meat, but any cut of beef can be used.

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 slice provolone
