Strawberry Hennessy Recipe

When it comes to cocktail recipes, there’s no better way to impress your friends than by mixing up a new concoction based on one of their favorite alcoholic beverages.

That said, if you’re not sure where to start when it comes to creating an original drink, we have all the information you need below!

But first, let’s talk about what exactly a “hennessy” is.

A hennessy (or henny) is a mixed drink that combines wine or spirits with citrus juice or fruit syrup.

The name derives from Hennessy & Co., which was founded in 1869 as a French distillery.

The company has since been acquired by Diageo, but the brand continues to produce delicious wines and liqueurs, including the famous Crémant d’Alençon.

What Are The Ingredients In A Strawberry Hennessy Recipe?

In general, any type of fruity beverage works well with a hennesy.

Fruits like strawberries provide acidity to balance out sweet liquors like rum or tequila.

You’ll also want to use fresh fruits over frozen, because they add more flavor.

When picking out specific berries, select ones that are ripe rather than hard.

If you don’t think you’ll get around to using them right away, store them in the refrigerator until needed.

You may also find that adding another ingredient will help bring out the flavors of both the base spirit and the fruit.

For example, orange zest adds zing to white rum while lemon juice brightens up vodka.

However, if you’re feeling adventurous, try substituting something else entirely for the fruit.

For instance, you could swap kumquats for oranges, or even try combining different types of raspberries with your base spirit.

Experimentation is key here!

For this particular recipe, we used lime juice, strawberry puree, gin, simple syrup, and sparkling water.

Keep in mind that the amount of each ingredient varies depending on how much you’d like to dilute the drink down.

And remember, it’s always best to taste before serving — you might decide to adjust the ratio once you’ve tasted the final product.

How Do You Make A Strawberry Hennessy Drink?

To prepare a strawberry hennessy drink, simply combine all the ingredients together in a shaker filled with ice.

Shake vigorously for 15 seconds, then strain into glasses.

Garnish with slices of lime and serve immediately.

What Is The Difference Between A Strawberry Hennessy And A Regular Hennessy?

There isn’t really a significant difference between these two drinks.

Both are fruity, lightly carbonated, and light enough to enjoy at happy hour or after dinner.

In fact, most people would probably describe them as similar.

But there are still subtle differences worth noting, such as the strength of the base spirit as well as the addition of various spices, herbs, or garnishes.

How Many Calories Are In A Strawberry Hennessy?

While calorie counts vary widely among individual brands, a standard mix usually contains between 120 and 140 calories per ounce.

To put those numbers into perspective, consider that a 12oz bottle of soda typically clocks in around 100 calories, and a 5 oz glass of wine goes for somewhere between 90 and 110 calories.

So, while a standard strawberry hennesy won’t leave you weighing yourself down, it should definitely fill you up without costing you too much extra weight either!

Is A Strawberry Hennessy A Good Drink For Beginners?

Absolutely! As mentioned above, most people wouldn’t know the difference between a strawberry hennesy and its namesake.

Plus, it’s super easy to make, making it a great choice for bartenders who aren’t yet familiar with classic cocktail recipes.

Not only that, but it makes for a fun, casual drink that anyone can enjoy.

What Are Some Other Recipes That Can Be Made With Strawberry Hennessy?

Strawberry hennessys are incredibly versatile, but the basic formula is fairly straightforward.

You can easily adapt this recipe to suit whatever alcohol you prefer, whether it’s beer, whiskey, or champagne.

Or you can replace the gin with peach-flavored bourbon in order to create a peach hennesy! Just keep in mind that the proportions of each ingredient change slightly depending on the base spirit.

We suggest starting off with 2 ounces of gin and 1/2 cup of sugar, and adjusting accordingly.

What Is The Shelf Life Of A Strawberry Hennessy Drink?

As far as shelf lives go, strawberry hennessies tend to hold up pretty well.

They generally last anywhere from three to five hours, so you shouldn’t have any problems enjoying them during a late night party.

What are some tips for making a strawberry henny drink?

If you’re looking to improve your skills, be sure to follow our step-by-step instructions carefully.

Also, try experimenting with different combinations of fruit juices and spirits.

Some examples include pineapple juice for gin, cranberry juice for vodka, and pomegranate juice for tequila.

Finally, never substitute store-bought mixes for homemade.

While we understand that sometimes convenience is important, you’re likely to end up with a subpar version of a classic cocktail that tastes artificially flavored instead of naturally complex.
