Empava Cooktops Buying Guide

Empava Cooktops Buying GuideNumber of Burners

When shopping for a gas cooktop, the number of burners you want will largely be determined by how you use your kitchen. If you enjoy cooking a lot of dishes at the same time and entertaining or cooking for your family, a cooktop with more than four burners may be the way to go.

Also, if you’re looking for something compact and want to save on space, you can choose one that offers two or three burners. If you like to cook big meals or want to prepare many things at once, look for a cooktop with five burners instead.

Burner’s Type

Once you’re set to buy a cooktop, the first step is to decide whether you want gas or induction. Most people lean on gas due to the price and are used by their parents.

The truth is gas stoves have many disadvantages that can put you off. Electric cooktops have been gaining popularity over time, though there is a lot of misinformation about them, especially with induction cooktops.

Empava recessed gas cooktop offers you the flexibility you need to make all your favorite dishes with precision and flair, featuring 4 Sabaf burner gas cooktops, heavy cast iron grates, dishwasher safe, and cast to last stainless steel control knobs.

The recessed gas cooktop design offers comfortable space for balancing multiple pots while keeping your kitchen looking sleek and clean.

Layout of burners

Both induction and gas cooktops are generally easier to clean than their electric counterparts. With gas, you may need to clean some grease or food splatters from beneath the grates, but their smooth tops are a breeze to wipe down.

Induction ranges can be wiped down like glass, and because there is no burn chamber below the surface, cleaning is even less involved than with gas cooktops.

The number of burners a product has, whether it has a double burner or not, and if it matches your stove’s dimensions are some of the essential facts you have to keep in mind when purchasing an Empava induction cooktop for your kitchen or home.

Trivets

Trivets are an easy way to add extra countertop space in your kitchen. They’re also handy if you’re serving a large group and need a bigger space for platters of food or bowls of dip.

Empava cooktops come with 3 individual trivets. The cooktop is equipped with a flat center and 2 high-edge trivets to disperse the heat evenly. Use this type of trivet for steaming foods in pots smaller than 26 cm diameter and high walls such as stock pots or paella pans.

Cooking Power & Range

The Empava 30″ electric induction cooktop combines induction power with the easy cleanup of a smooth top. Induction cooking is 70% more efficient than gas and offers more responsive, exceptional temperature control at low and high heat,

so it is gentle enough to melt chocolate and powerful enough to boil water. Induction elements are compatible with most stainless steel and cast iron cookware. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of a pot or pan, it is induction friendly.

Empava products offer the best contemporary design matched with the latest appliance technologies to transform how you live.

However, Cooktops with more burners are best suited for cooking multiple dishes at once while on the go, while those with fewer burners offer more control and faster cooking times.

Cooktops also come with different burner types that may heat food faster, making them a better choice for certain dishes, such as pasta and soups or sauces.

Child Lock Function

To provide added safety, especially when you have little kids around, the Empava electric induction cooktop and Empava gas cooktop are designed with a Child Lock function to prevent unintended activation for the public’s safety.

How to Clean Empava Cooktops

How to Clean Empava Cooktops

After every use, let your cooktop cool down and wipe the surface with a damp, soft cleaning cloth. Remove stubborn stains by applying a drop of mild, nonabrasive soap or dishwashing liquid to the area and clean with a soft cloth.

For hard-to-remove stains, use undiluted white vinegar to the area and cover it with paper towels. Allow the vinegar to work for several minutes, then remove it with a damp cloth.

However, there are five methods to use when cleaning your Empava cooktop, and it’s important to know how to clean them correctly:

  1. Basic cleaning method: Use this method most often
  2. Remove grease and dirt: After cooking food that leaves a lot of grease and dirt
  3. Removing rust stains: When rust appears on the grate, use this method to remove rust marks
  4. Cleaning spills with acids and alkali: When splashing acid (such as wine) or alkali (such as milk powder), immediately clean spills
  5. Cleaning glass surface scratches: Can be used for light scratches or deep scratches

Common Troubleshooting Solutions for Induction Cooktops

Setting Up Issues

Cooktops normally take about 5-12 minutes to heat up. If your cooktop takes more than 12 minutes to heat up, then the cooktop may not be switched on, or there’s a problem with the source of the electricity.

Check with your manual and ensure the cooktop is set on HIGH setting. The electrical circuit should be in working order, and the control knob is also turned at its highest setting.

If you have issues connecting your Empava induction cooktop to the power source, make sure it is plugged into a 240V outlet.

Overheating Or Uneven Heating

If you ever notice this with your stovetop, make sure to unplug the appliance immediately and stop using it until you take it to be inspected.

Also, any item placed on the burners can cause overheating or uneven heating when only one side of the item is directly touching the burner. Please always use cookware that best fits with each size of your cooktop to avoid this from happening.

It is normal and nothing to worry about. Crackling from your cooktop is due to thermal expansion, also known as thermal shock. Due to being heated up quickly, a hotplate undergoes thermal stress and expands inside the glass.

Crackling

It can cause the glass to break or crackle. The crackling will generally stop when the entire surface of your cooktop has reached the same temperature.

Typically, a crackling is caused by water or oil being cooked on the ceramic glass top. Because the cooktop ceramic glass is highly sensitive to temperature changes, it may expand and contract when oily/wet spillage is heated up at high temperatures.

If anything like this happens, remove the pan from the cooktop and wait until the unit cools down before cleaning the spill.

Fan Noise

The fan noise is normal at high-heat levels, and it’s due to the range hood motor fan. If it sounds like a “buzzing” sound, you may want to try the following: Check if anything near the range hood may be obstructing its ventilation.

Usually, when the cooktop uses the fan vent, the cooktop makes a noise. If your model has a ventilation grille, check that it is not blocked. If it is blocked, the air circulation will be compromised, and the fan will have to work harder, making additional noise.

Humming Sound

Humming sound on induction cooktops can often be caused by water or other liquid left on the surface. The moisture could cause arcing, the high-pitched or buzzing sound you hear from the cooktop.

For this reason, it is not recommended to use induction cooktops in a humid environment. If you hear a humming sound, your pan may not be compatible. If you want to use aluminum or copper cookware, consider an electric or gas cooktop instead.

The Power Button Not Working

If the power button is not working, there is a problem with the electricity. You should check if the cooktop’s electricity supply has been turned off in the electrical box. If all other appliances are working, check your outlet plug and ensure it is properly connected.

You See An Error Code

An error code indicates the cooktop is experiencing an electrical problem that needs resolution. Possible causes include:

1. You didn’t plug the unit incorrectly

 2. You plugged the unit into a power outlet that is not working

3. There is a circuit breaker issue.

If your Empava cooktop is displaying an error code, the chances are that you’re not getting enough of a gas supply to generate a proper flame. In this case, turn the gas off and remove the pan you’re cooking with.

Then, examine the area around your burner’s ports to ensure they are not blocked by food or debris. If they aren’t, it’s likely that the ports themselves are clogged and will need professional cleaning.

Pan Is Not Detected By Your Induction Cooktop

If your pan is not detected, the most likely causes are that your cookware is not induction-compatible or not properly placed on the induction cooktop.

Check to see if the pan is magnetic. You’ll need to use magnetic stainless steel or a cast iron pan if it’s not. Check to see if the magnet can hold onto the bottom of your pan and that the other side is parallel to the top of your cooktop. Ensure that you are not using a screen cover as these can sometimes interfere with induction cooking.

Induction Cooktop Not Heating Your Food

If you have an induction cooktop, there are different reasons why it may not heat your food. The first and most common is that the cookware is not induction compatible. If you’re not sure if your cookware works on an induction stove, try putting a magnet to the pan’s base. If it sticks, it’ll work on an induction cooktop.

However, the magnet test doesn’t always work—your cookware might be good enough to hold a magnet but still not made of a magnetic material. So if this doesn’t solve the problem, try using different cookware to see if there’s no problem with your stove.

Also, make sure that your induction cooktop is set to the same level as the element you’re using. Induction cooktops can take a while to heat food in larger pots, so don’t immediately assume something is wrong if it takes a couple of minutes for your food to cook.

LED Lights Keep On Blinking

If you see your LED lights blinking on your induction cooktop, unplug the cooktop. To do this, turn off the breaker in your main power panel box to the outlet where your cooktop is plugged in. After 10 minutes, plug back into the wall outlet and turn the essential breaker back on. Allow some time for the cooktop to resume its normal operation.
