Ingredients

  • 3 lb tri-tip roast
  • Traeger 'Que BBQ Sauce
  • Traeger Prime Rib Rub
  • 1/2 Cup beef broth

Instructions

  • The tri-tip should be thoroughly coated in Traeger 'Que BBQ Sauce before being marinated in the fridge for the night.
  • Take the tri-tip out of the marinade, then throw away the marinade. Apply a little coating of Traeger Prime Rib Rub on the tri-tip.
  • When you're ready to start cooking, preheat the Traeger for 15 minutes with the lid closed. Set the temperature to 180°F.
  • The thickest region of the tri-tip should be probed. Directly place the tri-tip on the barbeque grates, cover it, and let it smoke for three to four hours.
  • Place the tri-tip on a sizable piece of aluminium foil after removing it from the grill. Around the meat, pour the beef broth, then securely wrap the foil. 350°F should now be the grill's temperature.
  • Reposition the meat on the grill and cover it for 45 minutes. Before slicing, remove off the grill and allow rest for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
