Equipment

  • Frying Pan

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Jicama about 1 1/2 lb
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Cumin optional
  • Paprika optional

Instructions

  • Using a peeler or knife, peel the jicama. Trim the ends to make them wide and flat.
  • Using a mandolin, thinly slice the jicama into tortillas. (The thinnest setting, or something close to it, is usually the best.)
  • Brush the tortillas with olive oil on both sides. On both sides, lightly season with sea salt, cumin, and paprika, if using.
  • Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Heat the tortillas for about a minute per side, or until warm and slightly softened.
