Equipment

  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Squeeze Bottle
  • 1 Pastry brush

Ingredients

  • 450 ml Milk
  • 150 g All-Purpose Flour
  • 150 g Buckwheat Flour
  • 7 g Yeast
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • Oil

Instructions

  • Add the yeast to 50ml (1.7oz) of milk in a small container.
Sift the buckwheat flour and all-purpose flour together in a mixing basin.
  • To the flour mixture, add sugar.
Slightly season the flour mixture with salt.
The dry ingredients are completely combined by mixing.
  • The wet ingredients should now be added. Incorporate the yeast mixture into the milk.
Fill the bowl with the remaining half of the milk.
Beat the eggs just a little and add them to the dish with the other ingredients.
  • Mix thoroughly until mixed.
Add the melted butter and the remaining milk.
Mix it thoroughly until everything is mixed.
Give it an hour to sit.
Heat the poffertjes pan on medium heat after an hour.
Make sure the squeeze bottle's tip is not overly huge before adding the batter to it.
  • Quickly squeeze the batter into the tiny divots and cook until the top is bubbling and just beginning to set. It should only take a minute or two.
Quickly flip the poffertjes in the pan, then cook them for an additional minute.
For the remaining batter, repeat this procedure.
  • A traditional serving size is 12 poffertjes, which are placed on a plate with a pat of butter and some powdered sugar on top.
Of course, you are free to add anything you desire:
Strawberry Jam, Maple Syrup, and Whipped Cream with Nutella
