Valentina Hot Sauce

Valentina is arguably Mexico's most popular hot sauce. This is possibly the most traditional hot sauce available, and it goes with almost everything.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp hot paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar optional

Instructions

  • Bring all of the ingredients to a boil in a pot. Allow it to simmer for one minute over medium heat.
  • Remove it from the heat and set aside for 4-5 minutes to cool slightly.
  • Put everything in a blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes, or until everything is dissolved.
  • Fill a sterilized bottle halfway with sauce and seal with an airtight lid.
