Ingredients

  • 4 cups skim milk
  • ½ cup margarine
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Milk should be poured into a microwave-safe container and heated for two minutes or until warm.
  • Margarine should be melted in a pan over medium heat. Cook the mixture while whisking in the flour for about five minutes, or until it bubbles. While whisking, carefully add milk to the pan. About 3 minutes of cooking and whisking will cause the mixture to start thickening. Including salt and pepper. Continue whisking for an additional 3 minutes, or until the gravy begins to boil. Get rid of the heat.
