Ingredients

  • 2 lb 900g turnips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon each salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Set the oven's temperature to 400°F/200°C.
  • Turnips should be peeled and chopped into similar-sized slices (about 1 inch).
  • Turnip chunks should be mixed with nutmeg and oil before being spread out on baking pans in a single layer. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Roast the turnips on the baking sheet for about 30 minutes, rotating halfway through, until they are tender and golden. Check and modify the cooking time as necessary based on the size of your turnip pieces. Serve hot.
  • If preferred, serve with thyme on top.
