Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1 cup white onions
  • 1 teaspoon thyme fresh, chopped
  • 5 chicken sausages or hot dogs or any other types of links or meat
  • ½ cups reserve pasta water
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper crushed or habanero pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • As directed on the packet, boil the pasta. Oil should be heated in a big, heavy pot before adding tomato sauce or ketchup. (Add an extra tablespoon if you're using ketchup) Cook tomato paste for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring periodically. Add thyme, onion, and garlic; simmer for 4 minutes, stirring to combine. Stir in the chicken bouillon.
  • In a separate pan, cook or pan-fried sausages in a very little oil. Add to the tomato mixture. 
  • As you gradually add the pasta water, add the pasta to the saucepan with the tomato and sausage mixture and toss to combine. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. if using, add some red pepper flakes. To taste, add salt and pepper to the food. Serve warm alongside a salad.
