To create a wonderful mustard mayonnaise spread, thoroughly blend the mustard and mayonnaise.
All of the rye bread slices should have the mustard mayo spread on one side. For each slice, use about a fourth of the mixture.
On the bread board, arrange two slices of the rye bread in the following order: Emmental cheese, pastrami, more cheese, sliced vine tomatoes, and lettuce. If using, season with a dash of black pepper and sea salt.
The other piece of rye bread with mustard mayonnaise spread should be placed on top and pressed down. Cut in half, then devour!
