Equipment

  • 1 cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw peanuts
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cucumber
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • ¼ cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp granted raw mango
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli power
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala power
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • For three whistles, boil the peanuts in a pressure cooker with lots of water and salt.
Wait for the pressure to stabilize before removing from heat.
If you don't have a pressure cooker, you may also boil the peanuts for 20 minutes in a lot of water with salt.
    Get rid of the heat.
  • Drain the boiled peanuts and set aside.
    Discard the water.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to a large bowl.
Make sure the vegetables are finely chopped.
Alternatively, you might grate or shred the vegetables and add them.
  • Add in the drained peanuts.
  • Add in quarter cup of sev / bhujia.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
Check for salt and add more if necessary.
If you are going to serve the chaat later, omit the bhujia and add it just before serving so the sev and bhujia can stay crisp.
Chill the chaat for at least an hour before serving.
(Optional) Using aloe bhujia for this chaat.
