Ingredients

  • 8 Babybel
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  • In a shallow plate, mix together the breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
  • Whisk the eggs in a different shallow basin.
  • In a deep-sided skillet or saucepan, heat at least 1" of oil to 350°F.
  • The cheese rounds should be stripped of their wax covering before being dipped into the eggs.
  • Dip them into the breadcrumbs until covered on all sides.
  • Repeat the process again, dipping the coated cheese into the egg, then back into the breadcrumbs for a second coating.
  • Place in the hot oil in a single layer, being careful not to crowd the pan.
  • Fry on each side for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Before serving, remove from the oil and pat dry with paper towels.
