Get your grapes ready: Grapes should be rinsed before toothpicks or skewers are inserted into the stem end. The grapes should be dried on a piece of paper before being dipped in syrup.
Bring the sugar, water, and corn syrup to a boil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over high heat. Without allowing the syrup to boil over, you should maintain the best rolling boil you can while stirring constantly. In order to attain the proper temperature, boil for around 5 minutes.
preparing the materials and ingredients to produce crack grapes.
If you want to know when the syrup has reached 300-305 degrees Fahrenheit, you will need a candy thermometer (148-152 degrees C). This is the hard crack stage, which will enable the syrup to solidify on the grapes (see notes).
Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper on which you will later place the covered crack grapes so they can dry (set).
Add the vanilla extract and syrup together. Each grape should be carefully dipped into the syrup (be careful, it will be hot! ), which should be applied rapidly to completely cover the grape. The crushed Jolly Rancher flavours should then be sprinkled on top of the covered grapes (or roll in a bowl that is tipped sideways for easy coating).
For the green grapes' covering, use syrup and crumbled candy.
The coated crack grapes should dry for around 30 minutes after being placed on the parchment paper. Within a few hours, serve the food after carefully removing the toothpicks.
