Place 2- to 3-tablespoon-sized mounds of the dough, spaced at least 2 inches apart, onto the prepared baking sheets.
The cookies should be baked for 12 to 15 minutes, then they should be taken out of the oven and allowed to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheets before being moved to a rack to finish cooling.
