Butter should be put in a basin. The butter and sugars are combined and whipped until light and fluffy. This can be accomplished using a stand mixer, a wooden spoon, a hand handled mixer, or a large bowl.
Then, whip the mixture one more until it comes together after adding the vanilla and egg.
Gently fold in Plain Flour and Salt after adding them.
By hand, whisk in the chocolate chips until they are thoroughly combined with the batter or sprinkled on top.
Spread into a dish that can be heated in the microwave. 16 centimetres or so across. If you like, you can simply spread with a wooden spoon, but I strongly advise using a very lightly greased spatula or spoon.
Enjoy after 60 to 100 seconds of microwave time! (Mine is 800 Watt; change timings to suit yours.)
Before serving, let the cookie cool for 5 minutes. Add some ice cream, then dig in.
