Soy sauce has been around since ancient China. This condiment is used in many Asian countries, and even comes with its own word — “hoisin”.

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp garlic minced
  • 4 tsp ginger minced
  • ½ c all-purpose soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 6 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine water, white wine vinegar, rice vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, and ground ginger. Bring to a boil. Cook for about 30 minutes with medium-low heat reduction, or until reduced by half.
  • Allow glaze to cool for at least an hour while it thickens.
