Ingredients

  • 4 tsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 can of Pinto beans pureed with liquid
  • 1 can liquid canned red kidney beans
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Minor's beef base
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 minced garlic clove
  • 5 ounces mild Portuguese sausage
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 4 chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, celery, green bell pepper, and garlic salt should all be added to a big pot.
  • Till the bells soften, simmer the mixture over medium-low heat for around 5 minutes.
  • 5 pounds of Portuguese sausage and 1 pound of ground beef should be added and cooked until browned. But be careful to pulse or grind the sauces in a blender or food processor.
  • Continue cooking while adding 1 tablespoon each of cumin, oregano, and chili powder.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat after a good aroma appears, then add the contents to the pressure cooker.
  • Add a can of tomato sauce, liquid pinto beans, red kidney beans, bay leaves, and a can of chicken broth.
  • With the spatula, stir the mixture, then cover the pressure cooker. According to the settings on the cooker, cook for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cook your Hawaiian-style chili per the directions if your pressure cooker has a comparable setting.
  • Release the pressure and uncover the chili once it has finished cooking. Utilizing the soon, remove the bay leaves.
  • Finally, combine your chili con carne with 12 cup of mayonnaise. It will increase the creaminess of your chili.
  • With some fried rice, grilled corn, or anything else you like on the side, serve Zippy's chili in a casserole dish.
