  • 1 Ib  Crowder Pea dried
  • 3-4 smoked pork neckbones
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 clove garlic, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp thyme, dried
  • 2 bay leaves, dried
  • seasoning salt
  • onion powder
  • black pepper
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • To the crock pot, add black eyed peas, neck bones, minced onion, garlic, and herbs. Black pepper, onion powder, and salt for seasoning are used sparingly.
  • Turn the crock pot on high and simmer for 8 to 10 hours with the pot nearly full.
  • Discard the bones after removing the flesh from the neck bones.
