Raw Smoked Herring

3/4 pound smoked herring 3 tomatoes medium Roma ;chopped. (or one large beefsteak tomato) 1/4 cup onions chopped 2 cloves garlic minced 2 sprigs thyme 1/4 cup oil 1/2 scotch bonnet chopped (with seeds for more heat) water boiling; hot
Use scissors to cut the fillets into smaller pieces, and then use your hands to shred the meat. removing as many bones as you can.
Shredded beef should be added to a medium-sized dish.
Take boiling water and pour it over herrings. Make sure the fish are submerged in water.
Let it around 10 minutes to soak. This is done to eliminate extra salt.
Rinse the water off and check for salt. If the fish is still too salty, add more boiling water and try again.
After heated, add the garlic, onions, flavor pepper, and hot pepper to the oil in the heavy saucepan. Cook for five minutes.
Mix the hot oil mixture with the drained, shredded fish in the bowl.
