Ingredients

  • 500 g ripe mulberries
  • 500 g sugar
  • 1/2 lemon juice

Instructions

  • Fruits should be removed from their stems and placed in a big pot.
  • Crush the berries to release the juice as you heat it over medium heat.
  • Add the sugar and lemon juice once it comes to a boil.
  • Stir the mixture with a reduced heat setting until the sugar melts.
  • Before bottling and sealing the jam, bring it back to a boil for a few minutes.
  • It should last up to two years if stored in a cold, dark location.
