2 Glasses
1 cocktail muddler
- 10 basil leaves
- 20 g Finger Lime
- 100 ml (4 fl oz) London Dry Gin
- 4 ice cubes
- 2 small bottles of tonic water about 150ml/6 fl oz each
- 2 small top end basil sprigs
- 2 slices of regular lime
The basil leaves should be divided in half and put in the appropriate cups.
Basil leaves should be crushed with a cocktail muddler or the back of a teaspoon to release their essential oils and scent.
To the glass, add the ice cubes (2 each).
Australian finger limes should be squeezed into the glass (half a lime each).
50ml (2 fl oz) of gin should be added to each glass.
Tonic water can be added on top in any amount. It depends on your taste, but I just use roughly the same quantity as the gin.
Stir it up, then top with lime slices and basil sprigs.
