Ingredients

  • 1 package saimin noodles (4.5 ounces), cooked and drained
  • 1 saimin seasoning packet (this comes with the saimin package)
  • 3 ounces kamaboko (Japanese fish cake)
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 green onion

Instructions

  • The components for the topping must be prepared first. Kamaboko and Spam should be cut up (aim for the size of a fat matchstick). Carrots should be peeled and julienned. After beating and scrambling the egg, it should be finely cut. Cut up the green onion. Place all of this to the side.
  • Prepare the noodles next. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Cook the frozen noodles for 30 seconds after adding them. Remove right away, then drain. Using cold water, rinsing (this stops the noodles from further cooking and also removes excess starch).
  • We've now started cooking! Over medium heat, pan fried the Spam in a small amount of oil. for 2 to 3 minutes in a pan (until it starts to brown a bit). then include the carrots and kamaboko. After 2 more minutes of pan frying, transfer everything to a bowl.
  • Then, add the saimin noodles to the empty saucepan after adding a little more oil. 2 minutes of stir-frying (longer for more crisp noodles, less for softer noodles). To ensure that the seasoning is spread equally, add in half the seasoning package and well combine.
  • Repack the Spam, Kamaboko, and carrots. Add the remaining half of the spice packet, a teaspoon of soy sauce, and stir-fry everything together. Give the fry one more minute. Green onions and the sliced egg are added. Quickly toss, then pour onto a platter. Eat and have fun!
