Instructions
In a small saucepan or a dish that can go in the microwave, combine the garlic, butter, and oil. Oil, butter, and garlic can be heated in a small pot over medium-low heat for three minutes or in a microwave for one minute.
Under the broiler, toast divided bread. When the bread has reached a golden brown color, remove it. Apply garlic oil liberally to bread. Add some parsley and cheese, if using. Return to the broiler if you added cheese and brown it for 30 seconds. Serve after cutting into pieces.
