Lemon Balm Tea

Here’s a tea to brighten these dreary days. It’s made with a tasty blend of herbs including lemon balm, a cheery plant with a long history of raising our spirits.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons lemon balm dried
  • 1 tablespoon oatstraw dried
  • 2 tablespoons rosehips dried; seedless
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons orange peel dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon lavender dried

Instructions

  • All components should be combined and kept in an airtight container.
  • Making tea: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 level spoonful of the tea mixture to make 1 cup of tea. 20 minutes of steeping under cover. If preferred, strain and add honey for sweetness.
  • Alternatively, you could infuse all 4 cups at once (a quart mason container works well) and drink it all day.
