  • When ready to serve place the corn smut onto plates and cover with melted white chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

What Is The Cooking Time For Corn Smut?

The cooking time will depend on how you want your dish to taste.

If you’re looking for something spicy or sour, then it may only take a few minutes.

If you prefer something sweeter, like caramelized sugar, then it might take longer.

Here are some tips to help you determine when to flip the smut over:

  • When the bottom starts to turn golden brown (around 5 minutes)
  • Once the bottom is completely done, add more butter and continue cooking until all sides are golden brown (approximately 10-15 minutes).

Then rinse the cobs once more, and let dry thoroughly before placing them into an airtight container.

Place the container inside another airtight container, and store both containers away somewhere where there is no moisture, such as under the refrigerator door.
